Mission:
CLRC is a non-profit organization working to improve the availability to, access to, and quality of
respite care in the State of Connecticut. Working to affect the system to make changes, the Coalition
also seeks to help families advocate for themselves and find solutions that will provide immediate
assistance for their needs.

CLRC is a non-profit organization working to improve the availability to, access to, and quality of
respite care in the State of Connecticut. Working to affect the system to make changes, the Coalition
also seeks to help families advocate for themselves and find solutions that will provide immediate
assistance for their needs.

CLRC provides:

  • Easily accessible information on the availability of resources that includes agency and program
    descriptions along with funding  options;
  • Trained and knowledgeable personnel to answer questions and refer families to resources  across the lifespan;
  • Training and education for  family caregivers to help them know how to choose appropriate  respite
    and "short break" providers.
