A.J. Pappanikou Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research & Services
A disability research and training program located on the campus of the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut.
Agency on Aging - Senior Resources
This is one of 5 Area Agencies on Aging, based in Norwich, that serves the needs of older persons in the southeastern corner of the state connecting them to programs, funding and services such as the Family Caregiver Program.
Agency on Aging of Western CT
This is a nonprofit organization, based in Waterbury, that serves all older adults and persons with disabilities in 41 towns in western CT connecting them to programs, services and funding such as the Family Caregiver Program.
Bridgeport Family Services
Helping seniors live independently and with dignity in their own homes and offering support to family caregivers
Connecticut American Parkinson Disease Association
Provides outreach, awareness and educational programs ; often local VNA's provide support/exercise programs. VNA Community Healthcare in Guilford, CT is one example.
Connecticut Community Care, Inc. (CCCI)
This the largest care management service for elderly and people with disabilities in state of CT. This service is available to any person of any age, condition or income level to identify choices that allow them to live at home.

CT Childrens Medical Center
Dedicated to the emotional and physical health of children CCMC also advocates for child-friendly public policy and laws.
CT Commission on Aging
This state appointed group works to improve the life of CT's older residents through such activity as advocacy, research and recommendations, education and information and legislation review
CT Council on Developmental Disabilities
Works to assure the full inclusion of all disabled persons, young and old, into community life
CT Dept of Children and Families
Promoting quality of life for children and providing a range of child/family programs and services
CT Dept of Developmental Services

Nonprofit organization which provides support services for persons mentally disabled and similar disabilities.
FAVOR Inc.
A non-profit statewide family advocacy organization serving families, children and youth dealing with a broad spectrum of behavioral and mental health needs, by providing policy and family advocacy.
Greater Hartford ARC
Nonprofit organization which provides support services for persons with mental retardation and similar disabilities.
Interfaith Volunteer Care Givers (of Greater New Haven)
Volunteers assist elders and the disabled; will provide short breaks to family caregivers
Jewish Family Services of CT

SARAH Inc.
Serves children and adults with disabilities in communities across the Greater New Haven and Shoreline area. Their Birth to Three Early Intervention program also includes eastern Connecticut.
South Central Agency on Aging

State of CT: Nat'l Family Caregiver Support Program
Under this federal caregiver program that provides respite care, counseling, training and peer support, Connecticut’s State Unit on Aging ( the Aging Services Division) works in partnership with the five Area Agencies on Aging. Use this website to get an overview of the program and who is eligible to receive services; call the Agency on Aging serving your town for details and to access resources.
The Chore Service
In and around Sharon, CT helping the elderly and persons with disabilities live independently. Volunteers help with household chores, home maintenance, errands and, occasionally, transportation. Client contributions are encouraged from clients who can afford some payment.
The Consultation Center
Promote the development of individuals and families, prevent mental disorders and problem behaviors, and enhance the effectiveness of mental health and other human services.
The Kennedy Center
